Ordered 2 items, received 1. Litfad sends thrashed replacement item, refuses to refund money.
Reluctantly, my partner and I ordered from Litfad due to the fact that we were in need of inexpensive furniture quickly. She was bringing her 87 year-old father with dementia back to the states from overseas so that he could be closer to family in his final years. Long story short, he was in complete crisis (violent, delusional, etc.), my partner’s house was under construction from a pipe bursting, and we were in no position to be picky. Shit had to get done NOW, so we placed an order with Litfad for some simple furniture to prepare the suffering man’s bedroom as comfortably as we could.
Our original order with Litfad was for a table/tray on wheels and a small dresser — both items her father specifically requested. WEEKS later the table showed up, but no dresser. Amongst the chaos of keeping a man with dementia safe and calm in a construction site we did not have time to notice the missing dresser.
SIX MONTHS LATER, after her father attempts suicide we are able to get him into a facility where he is safe and looked after. At this point, we both had a moment to breathe and realized, “Didn’t we order a dresser from Litfad that never showed up?” My partner reached out to Litfad.
